Sleep Training... Hmm

Well the weekend is over. I promise I will post on the Buddy Walk we did on Saturday, but on this dreary Monday morning I am working on again trying to put in a couple hours of work. Always challenging with a baby in tow.  I am also trying to work on sleep training our dear Cora. We have allowed some habits that are probably not ideal at this point for several reasons. While I know that this will take time and effort, here is a description of the results of my efforts so far today.

Here is where Cora is at the moment.

Here is where she should be.

Yes, her first morning nap was a full 1 minute long, folks.  I suspect that we'll get a second try fairly soon, judging by the frustrated sounds I hear as she attempts to whip her toys into submission.  In the meantime, I guess a little flexibility is in order.

Happy Monday.

  1. Keep up the good work, Leah - you can do it! It may just take some time... I wish I could participate in a sleep training program ;--)

  2. Sleep training...something that you will never miss once it's over! It was one of the hardest weeks with Ben, but our reflection after was that we wished we had done it sooner!!!! It's worth the effort:)

  3. Okay, Calvin still does not go to sleep on his own. GUILY! I cannot do it yet. I love him so much, yet we will have to do something soon. Good luck and hugs to you all!

  4. I can honestly say we are guilty of that too. She does not put herself to sleep. She'll nap for an hour in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon and 10 - 11 hours at night. We'll give it a try...some day! Good luck with it!

  5. What toy is Cora playing with? We are having issues finding stuff that she is interested in playing with other than her activity gym and her Nemo. Thanks!
